To operate an LGBTQ+ Equality Center for the benefit of the LGBTQ+ community and its allies.Activities shall be carried out to the extent permitted by Federal Regulations attributable to a 501(c)(3) organization and other applicable regulations.


To promote educational, health, cultural, social justice and services directed at furthering the well-being, equal treatment, and development of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Plus (“LGBTQ+”) Community and its supportive allies.To educate, celebrate, promote self-empowerment and ensure that the social and cultural needs of LGBTQ+ individuals and families are met throughout the Atlanta Metropolitan area. To affirm, solidify, and empower our community to work together toward a culture of diversity and acceptance. Each year, the group grew with others from the community and neighboring cities. Atlanta Black Pride was born in 1996 when a small group of African American lesbian and gay friends held a picnic over Labor Day weekend to celebrate their experience in Atlanta’s LGBT community.
